Project 43

Project 43 is a story designed for the tabletop roleplaying game Dread. It is intended for no more than six players and their GM. Dr. Richard Grant III is about to make a massive breakthrough that will revolutionize every workforce, every prison, every school, every household. But it’s not for the better. The only person who knows what’s going on is his self-proclaimed arch nemesis and their ragtag team of scientists and criminals: that’s you. 

The Lead Scientist is passionate, dedicated, and sometimes manic. They set this heist up, and are dead set on going through with it, but aren't being very forthcoming about why…

The Assistant Lead is young, ambitious, and a little bit offputting, for all their fancy suits. They’re capable and collected, but certainly have their weaknesses- one of which being the Lab Tech.

The Lab Tech has a couple years on most of the other team members. They know the floorplan, they have the supplies in their cargo pants, but their rivalry with the Assistant Lead might just bring this whole operation down.

The Getaway Driver is the Lead’s younger sibling. They’re a boots-on-the-ground activist who runs in some shady circles, and managed to recruit the Security Officer and Lockpick. They would rather not explain why they’re so good at all of this.

The Security Officer is a stocky gun-for-hire, brought along as insurance. They don’t know most of the group, and don’t trust them much, either.     

The Lockpick is a tried-and-true professional, brought onto the team to repay a favor they owed. There’s a story on the streets that this is their last criminal job.
